Enjoyed this! Just the right amount of foreboding and creepy suspense while managing to subvert my expectations. Well done :-)

This one ended opposite of what I expected with the one who got away, really didn’t. Remind me to stay out of the woods. lol 😆

Good storytelling - I was definitely hooked the entire time. Foreshadowing made events crystallize into a mystery quickly, and the use of different senses, like what was heard, helped a lot. By the time we use vision again, to really see what's described, conclusions are varied yet satisfying. Fine, fearsome and nearly friendly. <3

Love this!! I wish I knew more about the man with the gleaming teeth... but as soon as I read that I knew not to trust him, cmon Kurt! lol

This kind of story lingers in the mind days after reading. It triggers a variation of the primordial fear of "There's something out there!" Nicely done, Shaina!

Just amazing. Not my genre, but makes me want to read more... maybe! lol. Enjoyed Winston's reply. I live in the central northern tier of Appalacian range which many don't know leads to the Adorondacks in NYS. Our forest is ancient on the 100+ acre farmland which my man worked his butt off farming since a child to inherit! And we have HUGE lunar moth population. The caterpillar incarnation has a large hook on head, is as wide in circumference as a fat snake and invades our organic garden yearly. I'm reluctant to spray their tunnels with my homemade biodegradable pest remover or they'd be outta there!
